At Allison Park Church, we view the step of membership like becoming a part of our church family. The following three steps are not only great for your personal spiritual growth, but will help you on your journey of connecting into the family atmosphere at APC.
We provide the opportunity to participate with this life changing weekend three times per year. The Breakthrough Weekend is held in the Chapel at the APC campus. At the Breakthrough, you will get personal teaching from Pastor Jeff as well as the chance to take the step of Water Baptism following one of our three weekend services.
On a Sunday morning a few weeks following the Breakthrough Weekend, we offer a one-day [Sunday 9am-Noon] follow-up course called NEXT STEPS; which is immediately followed by an optional Membership Lunch in which you can have a one-on-one sit-down with a pastor or key leader/board member. It is designed to accomplish several objectives in people's growth process:
- Reinforce Truths Learned At Breakthrough - these principles of freedom in Christ have to be guarded and maintained. We want to revisit these ideas to reinforce these breakthrough moments.
- Connect People Into A Structure For Ongoing Growth - so often there is a 'what now' reaction after the Breakthrough. We want to provide not only teaching, but a personalized process to help people get fitted into a small group and/or into a place of service.
- Train In Spiritual Disciplines - the material is designed to help embed healthy habits into our daily and weekly approach to life.
- Prepare For Team Membership - those who want to become official Team Members at APC will get an overview of how the church is structured and led. We will discuss the vision, goals, strategy and how an individual can join what God is doing here.
